Trinh Ngoc Nam is a senior legal practitioner with over 13 years of experience advising on M&A, capital markets, energy, and dispute resolution in Vietnam. Her work focuses on complex transactions and regulatory matters involving foreign-invested and cross-border businesses, combining legal precision with a strong understanding of commercial decision-making.

Nam has advised on a wide range of notable transactions across multiple sectors. Her experience includes matters handled during her previous roles at international and leading Vietnamese law firms. Her work includes acting for Novaland Group on an international convertible bond issuance, advising Saigon Co.op on its strategic bid for Big C Vietnam, and supporting capital divestment strategies for major corporations such as Viettel and Sabeco. She has also advised Sojitz Corporation and Korean investors on strategic acquisitions in the construction and textile sectors.

In addition to transactional work, Nam has substantial experience in dispute resolution and infrastructure-related projects. She has advised Son Kim Land on complex construction compensation claims and assisted the Management Authority for Urban Railways (MAUR) on contractual negotiations for metro projects. Her practice also extends to the renewable energy sector, including advising TotalEnergies on acquisitions of solar energy portfolios in Vietnam.

Nam built her professional foundation through senior roles at Tilleke & Gibbins, YKVN, and LNT & Partners, and later served as Legal Manager at TotalEnergies, where she supported regulated operations and complex projects in Vietnam.

She is currently pursuing a Master of Law at Seoul National University (SNU), with a focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Korean corporate law. Combined with her fluency in Korean and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, Nam is well placed to advise clients on Vietnam–Korea cross-border investments, and is expected to play a leading role in Vilasia’s Korea-related practice and the firm’s planned Korea presence.
